Trophy, Game Ball from Pennsylvania High School Championship Game 2003
Signed by the Winning Team.. the Manheim Central High School  '  Barons'
Ball was originally purchased at a Local Lancaster,PA. auction.
AAA Pennsylvania High School Football Championship Game  , December 5, 2003
Hershepark Stadium.  .. "The magical 2003 season. A glorious run climaxed with the Barons' unforgettable 39-38 triumph over Pine-Richland in the state championship.
The game was played in the midst of a storm that blanketed Hersheypark Stadium under several inches of snow, obscuring the lines on the field and chilling the bones of players and fans alike.
Both teams ignored the elements to stage a furious battle. The momentum pinballed back and forth, fraying the nerves of fans on both sides of the packed complex. It finally ended when Central's Shawn Wilt blocked a point-after-touchdown kick at the end of a second overtime session. That won the game and made the Barons the first Lancaster-Lebanon League football team to win a state championship.Veteran sportswriter Mike Gross, who covered the game for the Sunday News, describes it with three simple words:
