SEMI-WEIGHTED KEYS
Panorama’s keyboard action uses
weights
to offset the otherwise increasing tension you would experience from the spring. This delivers a clean down movement, and ensures that the keyboard is not heavy or fatiguing to play. What's more, the action's dynamic range is much wider than found on most other controllers and
5 different velocity curves
allow you to adjust the feel to your playing style.
Channel aftertouch
, pitch bend and modulation wheels, plus foot switch and expression pedal jacks set you up for performance.
TFT COLOUR DISPLAY
The
3.5″ color TFT display
delivers detailed information for each mode or menu, regardless of whether you are controlling your DAW or assigning MIDI functions. This ensures a fluent and fast workflow: Panorama takes the hard work out of operating a controller and makes operations straight-forward and simple.
MAXIMUM CONTROL
An
unrivalled amount of assignable controls
makes Panorama the most comprehensive and fully featured MIDI controller keyboard around: 16 encoders, nine 45mm faders, one 100mm motorized ALPS fader, 10 LED buttons, 28 buttons, 12 pads, foot switch and expression pedal jacks, keyboard with aftertouch, pitch bend and modulation wheels gives you
realtime control of up to 93 parameters.
You can store settings in
20 presets
with individually savable and loadable keyboard-, pad- and F-keys-maps.
PRO-CONSOLE FEATURES
A motor-fader is great for mixing, because you can always see what's going on. Used with Nektar DAW Integration, Panorama's
motorized 100mm touch-sensitive ALPS fader
gives you pro-console mixer channel control: Watch the fader pick up and move to the current value when you change tracks, or ride it to record and automate continuous level changes. Additionally, two LED buttons control
Solo and Mute
– so no matter what mode you are operating Panorama in, you always have pro-console control within reach.
INTERNAL MODE: GENERIC MIDI CONTROL
Apart from all the pre-configured smart controller functionality, Panorama is of course also
fully MIDI programmable
: So you can use all this power to control external MIDI devices, modules or software.
20 presets
provide a lot of room for that, and factory maps for eg. Virus TI, Prophet T8 or Minitaur get you started right away. The Control edit menu makes it easy to set up your own preset or F-keys map: Simpy select a control and assign the required MIDI command in real-time: MIDI CCs, Notes, Program, NRPNs and more. For each control, values can be scaled, reversed and assigned specific or global MIDI channels. Switching between Internal and Transport, Mixer or Instrument mode is seamless - so you can use all of the features at the same time!
PADS WITH PRESSURE
Twelve velocity and pressure-sensitive
pads with
7 velocity curves
will inspire you to play in ways you would never do on a keyboard. And programming the pads couldn't be easier: Press a pad, press a key to assign…done.
“Velocity Spread”
quickly spreads one note across all 12 pads, each with its own fixed velocity. The
“Scale-Function”
assigns each pad to pitches within any of the pre-defined 30+ scales: It’s a quick way to completely change pad assignments while changing intervals or transposing the whole set on the fly - great for percussive performances.
DAW devices such as Reason's ReDrum or Studio One's Impact XT are
automatically assigned to pads
in Instrument mode with their sound parameters on the knobs, delivering genuine drum machine feeling.
EXTENDED TRANSPORT
Being able to navigate projects from the keyboard enhances the workflow a lot. Hit play, activate record or to jump to a locator, it is all right where you need it: Panorama features an
extended
11 button transport bar
: Return to L, Forward to R, Undo, Click on/off, Record Mode, Cycle on/off, Back, Forward, Stop, Play and Record. Using the shift button, these also double up as 11 function buttons, each assignable to MIDI commands or QWERTY macro’s.
With DAW integration active, the functions are pre-assigned to control Click, Undo, to set record modes and more.
CONTROL YOUR DAW
For
Bitwig, Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, Reaper, Reason
and
Studio One
users, Panorama is a dream come true. Of course you can use Panorama with any MIDI software, but the included
Nektar DAW Integration
software hooks up automatically to your DAW, so you can start making music right away, Panorama takes care of all assignments. It is just one button press to switch between controlling the Mixer, Instruments and Transport thanks to Panorama’s mode buttons, with the 4th mode, Internal, still providing access to traditional MIDI control.
The integration with supported DAWs is so deep, that you can control it without constantly reaching for the mouse. Panorama gives you the creative freedom to just focus on your music.
DEEP PLUGIN CONTROL
With DAW Integration active and
Instrument mode
selected, you can tweak VST and AU plugins from Panorama for a true hardware synth feel. Many popular plugins are pre-mapped for instant use. Nektar factory maps are typically set up with envelopes on the faders and oscillator, filter and other parameters on the encoders for a unified workflow - but of course you can edit them to your liking easily.
For supported DAWs, all internal processors and plugins like Logic's ES2, Studio One's Mojito or Reason's Thor are pre-mapped for instant use with parameter feedback on P4's crisp display. And these maps are deep: Access multiple pages for that true hardware synth feel.
