Description

The front of this card says:
Hoover Dam
Nevada -- Arizona
A Bureau of Reclamation Project
The description on the back of the postcard reads:
HOOVER DAM
A Bureau of Reclamation Project.
Hoover Dam and Lake Mead blend into the myriad
of colors in Black Canyon as seen from this look-
out point on the Arizona side.  The 727-foot high
Reclamation structure -- highest dam in this
hemisphere -- controls floods on the Colorado
River and stores water for irrigation, domestic
and industrial uses and for power generation.
The four cylindrical towers take in water for the
penstocks serving the power plant's 16 turbines.
The card was written on and mailed.  It was postmarked in Nevada in 1962 and was mailed to Vermillion, S. Dak.  It has a three cent purple Liberty stamp attached.
It is in fairly good condition for its age.  The corners are lightly bumped.  There are pencil marks on the back of the card that may be able to be erased.
