THIS IS A NEW TRANSMISSION FILTER SERVICE KIT.  THIS ITEM COMES WITH A NEW DACRON FILTER  AND A CORK PAN GASKET.

The FMX transmission is identified by it's cast iron main case with aluminum bolt on bell housing and extension housing (
not to be confused with the earlier model Cruise-O-Matic transmissions
)
,
unlike later model three-speed automatics whose main case is aluminum.
The FMX transmission had a cast iron main case 9 7/8" long (
not to be confused with the Small Case Cruise-O-Matic
) and can be identified by the following:

cast iron case
and the
dipstick tube is screwed into the side of the pan,
your transmission is
NOT
an FMX
.

If your transmission has a
cast iron case
and the
dipstick tube is inserted directly into the case

transmission is an FMX
.
