    This llcd is viewable as soon as you install it and power up the synth. You don't
    get a blank display that you have to go fumbling for menu contrast controls just to make the screen
    visible.
    Note: for the k2000r rack some models don't have a slotted screw hole at the top front of the chassis under the case. That means
    it can only accommodate the thickness of this display by filing or drilling another hole to expand the chassis. That is unless you wish to install the display without the detachable glass bezel from the original display. In that case it will fit without work on the chassis but you won't have the extra layer of protection from the bezel.
