This is a really nice amethyst carnival glass 3-footed dish featuring the pattern
"SEA SHELL"
made by the Westmoreland Glass Company of Grapeville, Pennsylvania, circa 1909.
Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The iridescence is strong and unmarred. The pattern is well articulated. There are the usual internal air bubbles and straw marks (shearing tool marks) commonly associated with the hand manufacturing of old carnival and opalescent glass. Each piece of old carnival glass is unique, no two are exactly alike.
A really nice piece of antique carnival glass from Westmoreland and not easy to find.
Payment must be received within 3 days of auction or store close.
