    Description

    This is a superb Cartier Brass mechanical desk clock with alarm function, which is set off by an engine turned decoration which surrounds the clock dial and is also on the sides and top.  The base itself in in a contrasting plain finish.
    Clock dial has black roman numbers.  Face is marked "Cartier" and "Swiss".  Back is marked "1806 LUXOR S A SWISS".  All 4 screws in the back sealing the movement are intact.  2 Screws also present underneath.
    Probably dates to the 1950's. This is not a modern reproduction.  A very classy item on the right desk.  Has the appearance of being gold but is only brass.
    This is a larger size desk clock being 4 1/4 inches high x 4 inches wide and 1 1/8 inches deep.  It is extremely heavy at 910 grams or 2 pounds.
    Condition is excellent with no damage.  Whilst the clock winds, the clock only ticks for a few seconds before stopping so requires a service.  The hands and alarm hand turn without any problems.
